Professional Profile
Lorraine is a Partner and team leader working from our London, Birmingham and Manchester offices.
Lorraine qualified in 1998 and in 2002 was awarded a Masters degree in Family Law from Manchester University.
Lorraine is a member of Resolution an organisation of over 5000 Lawyers and Family Justice Professionals who believe in a non confrontational approach to family law matters.
Lorraine is familiar with different approaches adopted by various Judges across the country as she has represented police officers nationwide for the last ten years. She is also familiar with police culture including pay, benefits etc
Lorraine has extensive experience on issues clients have at the beginning of a relationship e.g pre nuptial agreements or at the end of the relationship ie divorce or dissolution.
She also has experience in children matters in particular applications for shared residence and contact orders.
Lorraines's Recent work includes:
- Drafting a complex pre nuptial agreement for chief superintendent
- Representing a high ranking police officer with a substantial pension, making representations to the Judge on behalf of the client and the Judge finding in clients favour, despite adverse actuaries report
- Representing a police officer who sought a shared residence order despite working shifts. Client awarded order sought.
