Professional Profile
Marwa works from our London office and Bristol office and represents officers from Avon and Somerset, Kent, Suffolk and Lincolnshire federations as well as Metropolitan police officers.
Marwa is a member of resolution and is committed to adopting a non adversarial approach. However, she also has experience in instigating Court proceedings when the need arises. Marwa’s experience includes dealing with divorce, matrimonial finances, separation agreements, cohabitation issues and children matters.
Marwa’s recent work includes:
- Negotiating a “clean break settlement” on behalf of a Chief Inspector whose principle aim was to protect future income against a further financial claim
- Persuading a District Judge that a Police officers complicated shift patterns should not be a bar to a shared residence order
- Advancing powerful submissions at an FDA hearing within financial proceedings that an acturies report was not necessary. The District Judge agreed with our submissions and the value of the pension as provided by the Police pension department was accepted. This lead to a cost saving of £4’000 for the Police officer involved.
Personal profile
Marwa obtained a first class honours degree at university and was awarded the Sweet and Maxwell prize for achieving the highest grade.
