Mediation and Collaborative Law

Mediation is a process that helps you to reach agreement about arrangements for money, property and/or your children, when you separate.

Separation and divorce are usually a painful experience for all involved.  Mediation helps reduce the emotional and financial cost of separation and divorce by providing a neutral venue and a trained, independent third party (the Mediator), who helps you consider all the options and helps you reach agreement.

Collaborative Family Law is a non-confrontational approach to resolving issues arising out of family or relationship breakdown.  The collaborative process is based on open, honest and dignified discussions during which each client is supported by his/her own trained collaborative lawyer.  The clients and their lawyers work together in a series of meetings without the threat of Court proceedings, to find a fair and mutually acceptable solution.
