The RJW Family Law team have been working with members of SOCA since its inception in April 2006. Our relationship initially came about by working with Police Officers who had transferred to SOCA from the National Crime Squad and the National Crime Intelligence Service.
As a result in these officers becoming “specified employees” of SOCA we had to ensure that we responded promptly to the changes not only in pay and culture but more importantly the significant impact on the officer’s pension. . The Police Pensions (Amendment) Regulations 2008 came into force on 8 August 2008 and gave statutory basis to the pension rights of police officers who had made the transfer to SOCA. We understand these regulations and are able to advice as to their impact in either a divorce or dissolution situation.
What we offer
In addition to our expertise in dealing with SOCA related family law issues we are able to offer members of SOCA;

We understand the nature of your work and the fact that confidentiality has to extend to absolute secrecy.
